Dani Girl
Over the April 25th weekend I attended a reading and workshop at the Kennedy Center for a new musical called Dani Girl. The music’s composer is a cousin of mine, fresh out of school and very talented. The play has won awards and is gaining momentum, hence the reading at the Kennedy Center. It’s the first time I have ever attended anything at the center so that alone was a treat. As a work that continues to evolve, this workshop is a place for the authors Mike and Chris to channel feedback and watch people’s reactions to the piece. You can see previous performances on youtube. I’m hoping I get to see the final draft someday, somewhere near Broadway. Monday, May 5th, 2008 : Life as Art | Comments Off |
